CREATIVE ENTREPRENEUR SIMON PROCTER WITH KARL LAGERFELD AT CHANEL
Mentoring is not Coaching, however the two work very well hand in hand and seamlessly for exceptional results! Sharing this story with the intention to inspire/motivate ambitious entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders who may be currently stuck or at a crossroads to seek out a Mentor and set up interviews to find the one that’s right for you in this Global Entrepreneurship Week. Entrepreneurial success is good for everyone!

The benefits and lessons learned from having the right Mentor can last a lifetime, and so can the relationship, even though perhaps at a distance.
I still delight in being kept updated and receiving previews of new developments and works by my former King’s (Prince’s) Trust Business Start Up Mentee Simon Procter. I have Simon’s full permission to share this with you even though his is now a huge global success story. Not all mentee’s journeys are as tortuous or as stratospheric as Simon’s. A struggling student with no ideas about business or what he wanted to do in his business, Simon accepted me as a Mentor, at a time when low confidence and too many options were creating overwhelm and preventing forward movement! We worked on his business development plans at a time when there were several directions he could take, being a talented artist, photographer and fascinated by new technology developments at the time, enabling him to explore bringing together his art and photography skills.

LAGERFELD – THE CHANEL SHOWS – BEAUTIFULLY PHOTOGRAPHED BOOK by Simon Procter, illustrating some of his best work with Karl Lagerfeld.
As the globally in demand artist and photographer he became, with his works featured in major galleries including in New York and Paris, also working with all of the famous Parisian fashion houses, he developed a close relationship with Chanel, befriended by Karl Lagerfeld who recognised his ingenuity and talent. There he created some of his best work which is featured in the beautifully photographed illustrated book, THE CHANEL SHOWS. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lagerfeld-Chanel-Shows-Simon-Procter/dp/0847863816
Now Simon has also started a small but beautiful and innovative film company, Orcadia Film Production, creating colourful, exciting and imaginative works including features and animations, that is set for further major success . One of his latest films featuring at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The Feature film Lapin Noir has won 23 International film festival awards to date, including best new director at the NYC RAW festival. Watch the short preview here: https://www.lapin.run/
The Film score by Saint Scorpio is released on all platforms with a new video from the haunting, almost hypnotic and mesmerising title track “The Body Electric”, based on the iconic Walt Whitman poem.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASg-acefz00
