Gratitude and appreciation to Athena Network Regional Director, Bernadette Sarginson for organising this #Wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with some #Amazing women entrepreneurs at the launch. You’ll see some in these photographs from their book signings. You can find out more here about the Athena Network, Athena Network Nottingham City and Athena Network Nottingham West Bridgford on the links below.

Not only is The Athena Network is THE LEADING INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS CLUB FOR FEMALE EXECUTIVES AND ENTREPRENEURS but it’s a brilliant environment in which to develop your entrepreneurial skills and do business over lunch in a fun atmosphere – hardly like work at all!

At my book launch, the story of the founding of my first ‘serious’ business at age 18 that took me a year of determination to get off the ground, and then experienced the whole lifecycle of a business from start up to nearly close down in just 4 days, went down well – the atmosphere was electric with anticipation. We heaved a few sighs and had a few laughs over this. Isn’t hindsight a Wonderful thing? They all agreed I should include this little story in my next book, just started and due out early 2015, about my serial entrepreneur journey. Oh, and I promise to write some ebooks as well.

One revelation is that ‘Woman Power: Strategies for Female Leaders’ is a ‘MUST READ’ for EVERY woman. VFM?  I’d say so, the wisdom, tips, advice and strategies of 16 women coaches, entrepreneurs, consultants and leaders – for the price of one!  And the feedback from women who have read the book has been fantastic! Unsurprising then that ‘Woman Power: Strategies for Female Leaders’ is proving very popular with women entrepreneurs. A second revelation is that the book is a ‘MUST READ’ for men, who want to understand the thinking and strategies of female leaders.

‘Woman Power: Strategies for Female Leaders’ is also proving popular material for Book Clubs, with Karen Oehme’s Vital Chapters Women’s Book Club the very first to snap up a mass purchase and invite me to speak face to face, share insights, answer questions and book-sign at their 18th November Meeting.  You can book here http://bit.ly/1qP6jBh

I am now in talks with the lovely and talented Julia Damassa, a successful BBC Dragons’ Den entrepreneur and Business Winner on Sky’s The Angel, about a trade mission to New York early 2015. I’ve been invited to share my entrepreneurial expertise getting involved with a new Free School for disadvantaged pupils; have donated my first book to a school library in my mission to help more girls discover and develop their leadership qualities; several other speaking/book signings are lining up, I’m in discussions for New Zealand tour and so much more….

I would love if everyone who buys a copy of ‘Woman Power: Strategies for Female Leaders’ would buy one extra copy to donate to a school, college, university, library, women’s organisation, in fact anywhere that books are loaned out or read. My mission is to ’Mentor and Motivate a Million’. What will you do to help me?

So I am still thanking everyone who is part of this exciting journey…and for reading this blog and that includes you! Thank You. Please feel free to follow and share..
