I am often asked to explain what #Vision really is, in the context of #Leadership #Life #Entrepreneurship and #Business, I’ve pulled together a few thoughts that I hope are helpful.

The first thing you should know is that having your own Vision, created in the right Holistic way (and there are many) for your Life, Business or Enterprise is incredibly powerful.

Who Am I To Talk About Vision? And Why Must Vision Be ‘Vital’?

I have had Vision, Lost Vision, Found Out How To Create it Again and developed a tried and proven process for helping others to create their vision for the life they really want.

In my case I experienced a series of unfortunate incidents and accidents. As a child I always had a vision for the future – it was driven more by what I did not want than what I really wanted because of my environment and circumstances.

I realised my vision for escaping poverty in my late teens. It came about through enterprise and entrepreneurship. Life was good until I had a major accident, falling all the way down from the three-storey attic of a building and waking up in hospital paralysed from the neck down. The prognosis was not good, a life in a wheelchair.

Without lengthy details you just need to know that my Vision got me out of it and I recovered over time. Hooked by the thrill of enterprise I went on to start and grow several businesses until the universe stepped in again, to slow me down for a while and go deep inside my Self. I was in a major road traffic accident, a three-vehicle pile-up. Completely lost, I experienced mental and physical pain, anger, fear, frustration, desperation and suicidal thoughts.

Despite going through endless tests, counselling, therapy, drugs, nothing moved me from the place where I was stuck, reliving the incident with its sights, smells, sounds, impactful feelings and emotions, movements, even taste!

Little did I know it at the time but the learning in this gift was to help me and thousands of other entrepreneurs across the world. What brought me out of the PTSD was my reconnection to Vision. A #Dream, a #Vision, came to me and it was SO POWERFUL that it moved me forward and I have never looked back!

You see, I took all the elements of the powerful experience (the IMPACT) that had kept me stuck and embedded them into a process for moving forward. The same process that worked for me. It is ‘Vital’ in the sense that it has IMPACT.

This Vision is created in a specific way, using a specific combination of specific elements that gives it IMPACT. That impact affects the subconscious and plays along like a new programme would on a computer. Starting anew, beginning from scratch, clean sheet! Bringing out your own Inner Vision, Your Purpose, Your ‘Why’ (that you were born with) to reveal your destination.

Now you find whatever you want when you search consciously but also bring things (Opportunities) to your attention even when you are not consciously looking for them! The result? Creating the Life/Business Your Really Want – no matter how impossible this may currently seem, with plenty of Rags to Riches stories to share.

What #Vision IS and IS NOT!

I’ll begin by saying what #Vision is Definitely NOT! Through years of helping thousands of #entrepreneurs #leaders and #businesses design and create their Visions for #Success, I discovered that real #Vision is NOT a paragraph or phrase dreamed up by a Marketing Department with no heartfelt connection to it nor experience of creating it first-hand!

My experience of the #Success Rate of #VisionBoards created by cutting out images from magazines works for some people according to the depth of their #Belief but is no substitute, in my experience, for creating a #Vision drawn out from our own ‘Self’, our Inner Vision that connects with our ‘Why’ = our ‘Purpose’ our strongest driver.

Our #Imagination, our ability to #Dream what we really want is the most Powerful Tool for which there is no substitute. No printed images can connect with you fully in Heart, Mind, Body and Spirit or be created in the vital emotionally charged way that accurately reflects and gives life to the whole of your own Inner #Vision

How Will You Make Your Vision Happen?

It is one thing to have a vision, another to give it form, shape and a voice in the real world. Once you have your Vital Vision™ Blueprint the hardest work is done! You have stepped out of your Comfort Zone but are held safely.

Why Congruent Values are Vital!

In making your Vision happen, both consciously and subsconsciously, becoming aware of Your #Values is essential for two reasons. You need to know and be aware of:-

Your own Values so that you eliminate Self Sabotage in achieving your Vision
Values of those who you connect with in order to achieve your Vision. If your Values clash you open the door to sabotage by others and ultimate failure. If your Values are aligned, you hugely boost your potential for success

Whether You Already Have a Vision or Are Starting Out – Where Do You Start?

Time changes your relationship with your Vision. We are individuals, so the timing is different for everyone.

The drivers for starting the vision process, whether you are experienced or a newbie, are also different. Examples are When you: –

Are stuck or blocked and cannot more forward
Want a real #Breakthrough
Have too many or too few opportunities
Cannot make a major decision
Find external change has been forced upon you
Internally feel the need for change
Achieve successf but feel unfulfilled
Feel something is missing in your life
Lack belief in yourself and confidence and need a Major Boost

There are many more reasons, but above all it’s because you want to either move away from what you don’t want, or you want to move forward to what you do REALLY want.
